Create an Autodesk account
If you want an Autodesk account, you can easily create one, either from your software when you start it for the first time or from your browser. If an account has been deleted, you can recover it within five days after the account deletion request. When you start your Autodesk software for the first time, you'll see an authentication screen with the title of Let's Get Started. There, you'll choose to sign in with an Autodesk ID, a serial number, or a network license.
*Fusion for Students and Educators: The education plan gives eligible students and educators free, one-year, single-user access to Autodesk software for educational purposes. As a student, all you have to do is fill in basic information about your school and yourself and provide documentation of enrollment or employment at a qualified educational institution. Depending on your location you will have to wait up to 2 days, but you will be notified via email once the account has been verified.
Installation
After you have created your Autodesk account navigate to https://manage.autodesk.com and sign into your account. From the menu on the left, select All Products & Services and look for Fusion. Click Download and, once installed, start Fusion. If you are doing this for the first time, you may need to sign into your Autodesk account again.
